Botox® Cosmetic

Botox is one of the neuromodulators on our Injectables menu, alongside Jeuveau®, Daxxify®, Xeomin® and Letybo®. It relaxes the small facial muscles that fold the skin, so frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet soften.

What Botox treats at Le Skin Aesthetics

We offer Botox for cosmetic use. The most common areas are the frown lines between the brows, horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes. These are dynamic wrinkles: lines that appear when you make an expression. Botox relaxes the muscle underneath, so the skin stops creasing in the same place and existing lines look softer.

We do not use Botox to treat medical conditions. If you are looking for Botox for migraine, muscle spasticity, neck pain, excessive sweating, or another medical concern, please speak with your physician or a specialist in that field. Our practice is aesthetic medicine.

Who performs Botox at Le Skin Aesthetics?

Injectable treatments are performed by a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner trained in aesthetic medicine. Le Skin Aesthetics was founded by Ericia L. Cannon, MSN, APRN, FNP-C. Treatments are individualized with an emphasis on safety, facial anatomy and natural-looking results.

Will Botox make me look frozen?

That is not our goal. We want to soften unwanted lines while you keep your natural expression. Your dose and injection pattern are customized to your facial anatomy, how your muscles move, and how much correction you want. If you want a light touch, say so at your consultation. Many people prefer to start conservative and adjust at a follow-up.

Botox, Jeuveau, Daxxify, Xeomin or Letybo: which one is right for me?

All five are neuromodulators, and they do the same job. The differences are in formulation, how quickly they take effect, and how long they tend to last. There is no single product that is best for everyone. Product selection depends on your anatomy, treatment area, previous experience, desired outcome and individual response. If you have had good results with one brand before, tell us. If you are new to neuromodulators, your provider will recommend the one that fits your goals.

How many units will I need?

The number of units varies from person to person. Muscle strength, the areas you want treated, and the result you want all influence the dose. Botox is priced per unit, and your provider gives you a clear estimate at your consultation before any treatment. You will never be required to treat more areas than you want.

What happens at a Botox appointment?

Your visit begins with a personalized assessment and a conversation about your concerns, medical history, previous treatments and desired results. We discuss appropriate options, expected outcomes, pricing and aftercare before moving forward with treatment. The injections themselves take only a few minutes.

Neuromodulator treatment requires a consultation first. Same-day treatment is often possible when it is clinically appropriate and appointment time allows. If you are not sure Botox is the right treatment, book a consultation anyway. You do not need to know exactly what product you need.

How should I prepare?

Please give us an accurate medical history, including medications, supplements, allergies and previous aesthetic treatments. Let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a neuromuscular condition. Tell us about upcoming medical procedures, travel or special events. Do not stop prescribed medications unless the healthcare professional who manages them tells you to.

Downtime and aftercare

Most people return to their day right after treatment. Small bumps at the injection sites usually settle within an hour, and mild redness or a small bruise can occur. You receive specific aftercare instructions that explain what is normal and when to contact us. If you are concerned about your recovery at any point, contact us promptly for guidance.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Neuromodulators do not work instantly. Most people notice the muscles relaxing within a few days, with the full result visible after about two weeks. Results are temporary. Many people return every three to four months to maintain their result, and some find the interval lengthens over time. Individual results vary, and we discuss realistic expectations with you before treatment.

Planning Botox before a wedding or event

Book your treatment at least two to three weeks before an important day. That gives the product time to take full effect and leaves room for a touch-up if needed. Tell us your event date and we can help you build a treatment timeline around it.

Botox and dermal filler together

Botox treats lines caused by muscle movement. It does not add volume or lift. If your concern is hollow cheeks, thin lips, or a soft jawline, a hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvéderm is the better tool, and many clients combine the two. Your provider will tell you which approach fits your goals. You can see real results in our before-and-after gallery.
