What our lip enhancement services include

Lip filler at Le Skin Aesthetics is a dermal filler treatment, usually with a hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvéderm. Hyaluronic acid filler is primarily used to restore volume, enhance contours or provide structural support. In the lips, that can mean more fullness, a clearer outline, or better balance between the upper and lower lip.

We do not treat the lips in isolation. Facial balancing looks at your face as a whole rather than focusing on a single feature. We evaluate proportions, symmetry, projection, volume and profile to determine which areas, if any, may benefit from treatment. Sometimes the lips are the whole plan. Sometimes the cheeks, chin or jawline matter just as much to the result you want. You can see both kinds of work in our before-and-after gallery, where every photo is of a Le Skin Aesthetics client.

Who performs lip filler at Le Skin Aesthetics?

Injectable treatments are performed by a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner trained in aesthetic medicine. Le Skin Aesthetics was founded by Ericia L. Cannon, MSN, APRN, FNP-C. Treatments are individualized with an emphasis on safety, facial anatomy and natural-looking results.

Will lip filler make me look overfilled?

That is not our goal. We take a conservative, individualized approach to filler with an emphasis on proportion, balance and enhancing your natural features rather than changing the way you look. If you want a subtle change, say so at your consultation. Your plan is built around what natural looks like to you.

How much lip filler will I need?

The amount varies from person to person. Your anatomy, the treatment area, your existing volume and your desired result all influence how much product we recommend. You will never be required to complete your entire treatment plan at once. Many people prefer to start small and build over time.

Lip filler, Sculptra and Radiesse: what is the difference?

All three are on our injectables menu, but they do different jobs. Hyaluronic acid filler restores volume and enhances contour, which is why it is used for lip enhancement. Sculptra stimulates your body's own collagen production for gradual improvement. Radiesse can provide structural support and may also be used as a biostimulatory treatment. If you have read about Sculptra for the lips, bring that question to your consultation. Your provider will explain which option fits the area you want to treat.

What happens at a lip filler appointment?

Your visit begins with a personalized assessment and a conversation about your concerns, medical history, previous treatments and desired results. We discuss appropriate options, expected outcomes, pricing and aftercare before moving forward with treatment.

Same-day treatment is often possible when it is clinically appropriate and appointment time allows. Some treatments need a separate appointment or extra preparation. If you are not sure lip filler is the right treatment, book a consultation anyway. You do not need to know exactly what product you need.

How should I prepare?

Please give us an accurate medical history, including medications, supplements, allergies and previous aesthetic treatments. Let us know about upcoming dental work, medical procedures, travel or special events. Do not stop prescribed medications unless the healthcare professional who manages them tells you to.

Downtime and aftercare

Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur after many aesthetic treatments, and lip filler is no exception. You receive specific aftercare instructions that explain what is normal and when to contact us. If you are concerned about your recovery at any point, contact us promptly for guidance. Follow-up recommendations vary by treatment, and we tell you when a follow-up visit makes sense.

Planning lip filler before a wedding or event

Plan ahead rather than booking a new treatment right before an important day. That leaves time for normal swelling or bruising to settle and for your result to develop. Tell us your event date and we can help you build a treatment timeline around it.

How long does lip filler last?

Longevity depends on the product, the amount used, the treatment area and your individual metabolism. Some results last several months, while others continue significantly longer. We discuss realistic expectations with you before treatment, and individual results vary.
